Slidely came out as a new app to turn your photos into a moving video. Then after Adobe's crash they turned around and changed so you could upload various versions of Adobe to it's server. Also Gloomlogue will make you want to play with the idea that everything can look like a painting.

Sildely which is an Israel based creation, has a very cool concept. Think of it as a moving animation but more fluid and as if it were actually a mini short film.
